Ok! It's time for a back yard adventure! Purple Lizard has just released their long awaited map of Cook Forest and Clear Creek. There's even a bit of ANF included. More recreational opportunities on this map than you can shake a stick at.
The map covers Clarion to the west all the way to Green Briar on the east, Brookville on the south up to Marienville, and has a couple beautiful inset maps detailing COok Forest and the Kennerdell Tract.
If you're familiar with Purple Lizard Maps, than you know. "if you know, you know".
If you're not familiar with these guys, you should really check this map out. These are made locally, by a few fellow adventurers that like to go out and do actual field research on what they're mapping. They mark out hiking trails, equestrian trails, ATV trails, camping spots, all the things you need to know for your next adventure. And then! They like to include little lizards across the map to call out something of interest. What's there? That's up to you to go find out. It might be a beautiful view, it might have something to do with local legends. That's what makes the maps fun. Plan an adventure this weekend to go find that purple lizard.
